Both of my great-grandfathers went to the front when the Great Patriotic War broke out. One of them fought on Smolensk land and died in 1942. Both grandfathers, Mikhail Ivanovich and Alexey Nikolaevich, became officers. The first graduated from the General Staff, the second was a pilot, then served in the military space forces. And when the time came, my father, Alexey Azanov, also put on shoulder straps. Well, now it's my turn. But recent events have only confirmed the correctness of the choice. In the fall, our class of the 172nd school in Northern Tushin went to the area of Volokolamsk on the Dubosekov siding. Here Panfilov's division stopped the fascists rushing to Moscow. Twenty-eight Panfilov members performed their feat here. When you visit these places, many things are seen differently.
